CONFERENCE
TRUST WITHIN AND BETWEEN ORGANIZATIONS - FINT CONFERENCE 2025
FINT goes to Italy – Welcome to Genoa, Italy!
Trust researchers worldwide are invited to connect and submit papers for the 13th Conference on Trust Within and Between Organizations, to be held in Genoa, Italy, from June 18th to 21th, 2025.
This Conference offers a unique opportunity and a stimulating and inclusive venue to develop theoretical and practical knowledge on trust. It will be organized by the First International Network on Trust (FINT) and the University of Genoa.
In an increasingly interconnected world, the challenges facing individuals, organizations, and governments are increasingly systemic and complex to manage. For example, the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change, increasing political polarization, and recent armed conflicts highlight how the current global system is particularly fragile and vulnerable.
New technologies, such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and blockchain, also require a reshaping of organizations' internal processes, and a reformulation of business dynamics and workplace relations.
Therefore, in the face of the social, economic, digital, and political tensions that characterize the current competitive landscape, trust takes on an unprecedented role in successfully navigating uncertain, dynamic, and hostile environments. In this particularly challenging and changing environment, research and knowledge on trust prove more indispensable and crucial than ever to successfully navigate these turbulent waters. The development of trust theory and knowledge, both within organizations and externally, ensures the pursuit of important goals such as environmental and social responsibility, decent and sustainable work, secure global supply chains, responsible management of diverse employee populations, and innovation in service delivery (e.g., health, defense, disaster management) to promote closer collaboration and manage vulnerability even in the face of increasing complexity.
Since 2000, trust researchers have come together to discuss all emerging and related topics revolving around trust. The FINT Conference has grown over time from the first workshop with 20 people to more than 770 researchers, from all over the world and from different disciplines, all sharing a special interest in the concept of trust.
This deep interest has made the FINT community welcoming and inclusive, uniting within it senior and junior researchers from different disciplines and with different methodological interests, realizing a particularly interesting and stimulating debate and discussion.
For the first time in its history, FINT will host its Conference in Genoa June 18-20, 2025, a city that knows how to surprise with its cultural richness, its gastronomic traditions, and the wealth of diverse landscapes it offers.
Also considering the new challenges and changes impacting the topic of trust, and crossing disciplinary boundaries, we encourage the presentation of contributions that are aimed at observing these phenomena with different theoretical lenses and different empirical evidence. We welcome new theoretical perspectives and empirical evidence based on qualitative or quantitative investigations. We welcome contributions from junior and senior representatives of the academic and professional communities.
